Research interests
My research focuses on urologic oncology – especially on molecular mechanisms and markers to improve diagnostics and prognostics in upper tract and urothelial bladder cancer. Moreover, I am investigating tumor immunology, the urogenital microbiome and its impact on chronic inflammation, stone formation and tumorigenesis.
Techniques, methods & infrastructure
Our lab is well equipped to complete standard DNA, RNA and protein expression analysis. Moreover, we perform Next Generation Sequencing and drug screening on patient derived tumor cell lines.
