An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist am Zentrum für Public Health / Abteilung für Gesundheitsökonomie mit der Kennzahl: 1352/20, voraussichtlich ab 16. März 2020 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 30 Wochenstunden mit einer Assistentin / einem Assistenten (postgraduate) zu besetzen.
Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 2.196,80 brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.

Anstellungserfordernisse: Abgeschlossenes (Diplom) Studium der Gesundheitsökonomie oder eines artverwandten Faches (z.B. Gesundheitsversorgung, Public Health, Ökonomie), Teilnahme am PhD-Programm der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Bereitschaft zur Mitwirkung in Forschung und Lehre. Die fremdenrechtlichen Anstellungserfordernisse bei Nicht-EU-BürgerInnen müssen gewährleistet sein.
Gewünschte Zusatzqualifikationen: Ausgezeichnete IT-Anwenderkenntnisse, fundierte Erfahrung in der Datenanalyse- und Auswertung (Excel, SPSS, Stata oder ähnliches) sowie Erfahrung mit quantitativen Auswertungen und Ökonometrie. Ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift sowie gute Deutschkenntnisse sind Muss-Kriterien. Enthusiasmus, ein hohes Maß an Eigenmotivation, Teamfähigkeit, eine eigenständige Arbeitsweise sowie die Fähigkeit mehrere Projekte gleichzeitig zu managen und Deadlines einzuhalten.

The Medical University of Vienna (briefly: MedUni Vienna) is one of the most traditional medical training and research facilities in Europe. It is today the largest medical training institute in the German-speaking area with about 8.000 students.
As part of the ongoing development, the Department of Health Economics (DHE), Center for Public Health, Medical University of Vienna is looking for a PhD-candidate in Health Economics to contribute the European EraNetPerMedSchiz project on personalized schizophrenia treatment and to other ongoing projects of the DHE (e.g. PECUNIA) H2020. The position is fixed-term until 30 June 2023 and can be filled immediately. Salary and terms of employment are according to the collective contract (Euro 2.196,80 14x per year). The working language of the Department is English.
Relevant work includes conducting literature reviews, epidemiological and health economic data collections, cost and outcome analyses and modelling. The position holder will overlook the day-to-day running of the project, analyses the relevant data, and develop and disseminate the study results including peer-reviewed publications. She/He will be expected to acquire and apply existing methodological approaches in health economics and will be supported in developing own research interests in the field. The position holder will also have the opportunity to register and complete the Doctoral Programme in Public Health at the Medical University of Vienna alongside the project.
Applications should have a topic relevant Masters degree, preferably in health economics or a related discipline (e.g. health services research, public health, economics). Equivalent demonstrable training and research experiences may be also considered. They should possess strong data analysis (Excel, SPSS, Stata or equivalent) and quantitative skills (statistics, econometrics). Applicants should have excellent written and spoken English and a working knowledge of German. A record of previous research publications is positively valued. Additional requirements include enthusiasm, interest in multidisciplinary research, skill development and team work, and the ability to manage projects to agreed deadlines.
