Techniques, methods & infrastructure
We are interested in exploring molecular and immune pathways that are involved in (de novo) liver fibrosis. To this end we engage in in vitro (cell cultures), in vivo (rat model), and ex vivo (human biobanking) research, using a broad spectrum of wet-lab methodology such as flow cytometry, qPCR, western blot, plate assays, electrophysiology (Ussing), and collaborate with (in-house) core facilities to explore targeted and non-targeted aspects of the mammalian metabolome. We are particularly interested in the folate pool and functional folate deficiency.
