Research interests
I am a radiologist and PhD student focusing on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In particular, I am currently investigating various potential renal MRI biomarkers to detect early stages of renal injuries (www.renalmri.org).
MRI fascinates because it is a very versatile modality to assess structural, functional, biochemical and biomechanical information non-invasively. In this context, I am especially interested in magnetic resonance elastography and magnetic resonance spectroscopy, because merging these modalities holds the promise to unveil key aspects of human patho-/physiological processes, which will ultimately pave the way for new clinical investigations and translation into new diagnostic standards and better therapies.
