The University Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy is pleased to welcome Carlos Zarate from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), USA, for a guest lecture on 2 October 2023. Zarate and his team are world leaders in the development of new therapies for depression and have provided groundbreaking results on the dysregulation of the glutamate system in depression as well as rapid antidepressant mechanisms.
