Research Area: cell based therapies and spider silk conduits for peripheral nerve regeneration

Research interests

My main research focus lies on peripheral nerve regeneration. The research is designed to elucidate morphological and pathophysiological changes in peripheral nerve injury and to develop novel therapeutic approaches.

Techniques, methods & infrastructure

  • biomedical research of peripheral nerve injury
  • preclinical imaging methods
  • electrophysiological assessment
  • histomorphological assessment
  • primary cell culture
  • multicolour immunofluorescence staining
  • confocal imaging
