Research interests
My main research focus lies on peripheral nerve regeneration. The research is designed to elucidate morphological and pathophysiological changes in peripheral nerve injury and to develop novel therapeutic approaches.
Techniques, methods & infrastructure
Clinical research:
- ex-vivo analysis, anatomical studies
- diagnostic research, observational studies, retrospective analysis
Preclinical research:
- biomedical research of peripheral nerve injury: animal models, gait analysis, electrophysiological assessment, histomorphological assessment
- preclinical imaging methods: sonography , computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, IVIS
- primary cell culture and analysis of adipose derived stromal cells
- optical imaging: conventional microscopy, confocal imaging, ultramicroscopy
Medical education:
- peer teaching, surgical teaching, procedural knowledge, clinical reasoning
